Happy #MakerMonday and #CyberMonday everybody!
I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday (those of us fortunate enough not to be working retail, and to everyone else, good Lord, I’m sorry), and hope you got enough buttery foods to eat! I certainly had a delicious day with the family, made mashed potatoes, and two loaves of honey wheat bread. Starches are my super favorite!
In any case, I know lots of y’all went (crazy) shopping on Black Friday, and hopefully lots also went out for Small Business Saturday! Cat Lady Crafts made an appearance both days at the Houston Holiday Pop Shop, and had a wonderful time hanging out, meeting new people, and selling some ADORABLE stuff. (I will post some fab pictures once I get the official ones!) Folks were certainly raving about Jill’s “straight-up cute” Texas-themed cards! She’s already plotting to make twice as many for next year!
There are still some “pocket organizers,” and clutch purses left over, and some are already listed on our Etsy site! If you have time today, stop by and take a gander! They make great stocking stuffers, co-worker gifts, or just a little something extra on top of a present! We also have a few Christmas cards, as well as Thank You cards (you’ll need them soon!), and heavily discounted Halloween cards for sale, if you’re into planning ahead.
Shameless self-promotion aside, today is another day for shopping, so it might as well be vintage, local and/or handmade! I know there are many places to do your online shopping today, but here are some of my suggestions:
Etsy.com (of course)
The Tinderbox – Houston’s amazing local makers market is offering free shipping today from 10-10!
Recollection by Sandra Murphy – Offering 25% off today only!
Some of the other amazing Pop Shop Vendors:
There were so many amazing artists and artisans at the Pop Shop this year! Please make an effort to support any creative, fabulous people in their intense, creative pursuits! More on Pop Shop soon!
